Wednesday, December 30th: The Moon journeys through wholesome Virgo for the whole day.

Venus, planet of sharing and bookkeeping enters Sagittarius, at 1:17 AM, for a 25-day stay. Venus in Sagittarius is a time for us to open our hearts to the world around us and experience the joy and pleasures of multiculturalism. It’s easy to overdo it with Venus in Sagittarius. Try to be conscious of this fact as you celebrate New Year’s Eve.

The Moon opposes Neptune, 3:40 AM: This is the perfect time to have an intimate relationship with Mr. Sandman. Keep your dream journal handy.

The Moon trines the Sun, 5:29 AM: This is an especially upbeat morning to get up early for a walk, or prepare for the day ahead. Savor your routines and this morning.

The Moon squares Saturn, 10:33 AM: By midmorning, we experience a huge block and a delay in our agenda. Try not to over analyze things, and just focus on the immediate priorities to get rid of the wedge. If you must, criticize yourself later in the afternoon, after you fix the problem.

Tuesday, December 29th: The Moon begins the day in Leo, but she does turn void-of-course in Leo, at 11:38 AM. She soon enters efficiency oriented Virgo, at 12:58 PM, and is no longer void-of-course.

The Sun sextiles Neptune, 7:18 AM: With the energy of this aspect having affected us for the last couple of days, each of us has been striving to find more peace, harmony, and common ground with all the people around us. We are able to be both real and optimistic about our lives. With regard to any kind of work or projects, we try to develop a more cohesive framework that supports all parties involved. Personally, all of us are a bit more sensitive, and will shy away from drama if given the chance. The energy of this aspect continues to affect us for the next couple of days.

The Moon sextiles Mars, 7:33 AM: We get a burst of energy early this morning and are hopeful about the day. Don’t be afraid to take the lead or inspire others to action!

Mercury squares Mars, 8:54 AM: And, contradicting the energy of the Sun sextile Neptune, the energy of this planetary combination makes us want to act first, and think, second. This is a supportive energy for arguing, or debating, or dealing with situations that require our immediate attention. All of us are in a big hurry this morning so watch out for road rage, high-chair tyrants, and lots of emotional privilege. Since the energy of this aspect has been affecting us for the last couple of days, this may have caused us to not sleep well; and generally left us feeling restless, no matter how serene our environment. The Moon squares Venus, 11:38 AM: With all this extra tension this morning, this is an ideal time for a long lunch, starting with dessert first! Coworkers could be a bit crankier due to this energy. It is a good time to feel sorry for yourself. Give yourself to it!

Saturday, December26th: Today is the celebration of Kwanzaa. The Moon moves through Cancer, the sign of family roots and genetics, for the entire day. However, she does turn void-of-course in Cancer, at 9:36 PM, and remains so for the rest of the day.

The Moon opposes Pluto, 1:21 AM: If you are up late, you will rehash the events of yesterday. If you are sleeping, you will do this in your dreams.

The Moon squares Uranus, 4:22 AM: You will be up early this morning wanting to play with your new Christmas toys! Otherwise, this is an energetic day for a walk at the park, or getting ready to return those gifts that don’t fit.

The Moon sextiles Jupiter, 3:51 PM: We are still in the holiday spirit but if you have to work, things are moving along fairly easily. This is a good time to be with friends and relatives that you haven’t seen in a while.

The Moon opposes Mercury, 6:21 PM: As the evening begins, we look for a change in our routine. We will definitely need some entertainment or distraction so we don’t feel as bored. This is a fun time for chatting online or role-playing games.

The Moon squares Mars, 8:57 PM: Our emotions are bit edgy in the evening and it may be hard just to feel comfortable about anything. We are easily on the defensive and can overreact. Just make sure you are with people that you like and who enjoy a bit of competition.

The Moon trines Venus, 9:36 PM: As we end our evening, this is a relaxing time to be with that special someone; and if you can, have another piece of pie! Put on those new “jammies” and that warm robe; and find yourself an entertaining movie to watch.

Friday, December 25th: Merry Christmas! The Moon occupies Cancer, the sign that rules home and family, for the whole day.

The Moon opposes the Sun, at 5:11 AM: This is the Full Moon in Cancer−Capricorn. With this Full Moon, we have a lot of expectations and a sense of joy about Christmas this year. With this Full Moon, we are reminded that it is important to have traditions; especially those that reflect your life and not the staid customs from the past. Don’t be afraid to step out of the box and do something different this year! The last Full Moon that occurred on Christmas was in 1977, and it will not happen again until 2034.

The Moon trines Neptune, 12:18 PM: This is the ideal time of the day to start your holiday celebration. And eggnog, with extra “nog,” would be an excellent way to start!

Mercury trines Jupiter, 2:19 PM: With the energy of this aspect having been in effect for the last couple of days, and continuing to be in effect for the next two days, this planetary combination should also make the holiday time frame more pleasant and more fun. Each of us is going to be more “chatty” and interested in knowing what is going on with the people in our family. We will need a lot of entertainment because of this planetary connection, so make certain that you have movies to watch; plays to see; and make plans to drive around and enjoy the holiday lights. Be careful how much you eat and drink since these two planets will encourage over indulging!

However, she does turn void-of-course in Gemini, at 2:04 PM. She remains void-of-course (over 9-hours) until she enters Cancer late in the evening, at 11:26 PM.

The Moon sextiles Uranus, 12:27 AM: The energy of this aspect may keep us up later than usual, and can be an enjoyable time to share a glass of wine with friends and family. Otherwise, you may need some distraction to get to sleep.

Venus sextiles Jupiter, 4:03 AM: As soon as we get up this morning, we are ready for the holiday to start. When these two planets combine their energy, we normally feel generous, peaceful, and more forgiving of others. This planetary combination may also help in some of the immigration problems that are being experienced all over the world. It can be an upbeat day for last-minute shopping. Be careful that you don’t overspend or do a lot of impulse buying. Keep focused on what is in front of you and you won’t feel so restricted and obligated by your duties. Don’t over-think things and be sure and ask yourself the question: “Is this really necessary?”

Allow your heart to govern the first part of the day, and your head to run the latter half the day.

The Moon opposes Venus, 4:36 AM: We wake up feeling self-indulgent this morning. This is a wonderful morning to take your time and only deal with the people you truly like.

The Moon trines Jupiter, 8:26 AM: We feel more energized and ready to get on with our day. We are open to most everyone we encounter and things seem to go smoothly.

The Moon sextiles Neptune, 6:31 AM: We have a slow but peaceful start to our morning. There is a lot of extra energy to get us going today, but we may not feel any motivation toward the very end of the day. This can be a nostalgic day best used for putting up holiday decorations and reminiscing about the past.

The Moon trines Pluto, 6:52 PM: We feel a bit more motivated in the early evening but we still move at our own pace. This can be a beneficial evening for business if you are entertaining clients.

The Sun enters Capricorn, at 10:49 PM. This is the Winter Solstice, and on this day we experience the shortest amount of daylight of any day in the year. After today, the amount of daylight slowly increases.
