Friday, January 1st: Happy New Year! The day begins with the Moon void-of-course in Virgo, but she quickly enters harmonious Libra, at 12:41 AM, and is no longer void-of-course.
The Moon sextiles Venus, 6:05 AM: We feel good about the morning, but we definitely take our time and hope for that extra few hours of sleep. If you must get up, have a latte with an extra large cinnamon roll!
Mercury, planet of travel and communications, is now letting us know that we are under the influence of his preparing to turn retrograde. It is best to complete whatever projects are already on your plate, and avoid buying electronic devices, automobiles, or signing important documents until February 2016.
Mercury enters Aquarius, at 8:21 PM, for a brief one-week stay. The reason for this short stay in Aquarius is because Mercury will turn Stationary Retrograde (on January 5th) and will retrograde back into Capricorn (on January 8th) for an extended stay. Mercury in Aquarius is a time for us to open our minds and think more freely.
The Moon squares the Sun, 11:30 PM: Each of us will feel a bit grumpy this evening. Find a nice distraction so that you are not overcome by your own melancholy.
The Moon sextiles Saturn, 11:35 PM: Yes, of course, getting ready for the next day will certainly help you to forget about what you are worried about. If you must work late, this is a productive time to get things done.
All times are CST.
