General Information: As the month opens we are still in Mercury retrograde. Great time for planning but wait until after August 12th before you put any new plans into action. Mid month is very tense and especially for those of you born with planets in Aries, Libra, Cancer and Capricorn. We may feel that we have to make some very important decisions. We have two Full Moons this month, commonly called a Blue Moon. Our first Full Moon is on August 1st in Aquarius and the other is on August 31st in Pisces. The Full Moon in Aquarius will make us aware of community needs. The one on August 31st will urge us to be more reflective of our spiritual needs.
The Sun starts the month in Leo and enters efficient Virgo on the 23rd. Mercury remains in Leo but does go direct on August 12th. Venus begins the month in Gemini but quickly moves into Cancer on the 7th. Mars is drifting through Libra and enters his ruling sign, Scorpio on August 23rd.
Good days for the month are August 2nd, 9th, 18th, 20th, 26th and the 29th. Days to pull the covers over your hear are August 1st, 7th, 8th, 15th, 16th, 17th, 24th and the 31st.
Aries – Relationships are still a big topic this month. Time to bring some new energy to your existing relationship otherwise you will find you and your partner are getting very snippy. If you are single, this is a good time to get out and meet someone new after August 12th. Career energies are very tense mid month. Avoid positioning yourself so you don’t have any options. Spending time with family and loved ones will be very important toward the end of the month. Make sure you include some play time this month.
Taurus – You open the month focused on making your nest a more comfortable place. You have really been cleaning out your closets this month. New career opportunities open up for you after August 12th. You are being urged to take on more responsibility at work. Continue to work on your health programs. They are just now beginning to pay off. Relationships need some renewal after the 24th. Take some time for you and your partner to get out of town. If you are single, your romance magnet is working very well. Keep your eye on the future!
Gemini – Busy is the word that fits you this month. And even with your ruling planet, Mercury, retrograde until the 12th, you are still working hard to keep up with all the plans you have made. During mid month, friendships can be tense as you get to the truth about some things. At the end of the month, you are ready to get a plan and get organized.
Cancer – You continue to be focused on security and money for this month. This is an overriding issue and will keep the moon kids center of attention on this item for the next couple of years. Mid month is a very tense time. You are trying to rework your current career or looking to start something totally new. Mid month is a decision oriented time for you. Relationships, business and personal, are going through a time of redefining long term goals. Don’t be afraid to let go of the past. Life calms down as we get close to the end of the month. Take some time for yourself.
Leo – Happy Birthday to the Leos! This has been an especially introspective birthday time with Mercury, planet of reorganization, retrograde in your sign. Typically, the birthday time or Solar Return, is the time to look at last year’s past accomplishments and look forward to the new enterprises. But your start energy has been delay until August 12th. Toward the end of the you will be even more energized to get your plans into action. Home and family themes are more emphasized by the end of the month. Make sure you get out and socialize. This is a very good month to mix business and pleasure.
Virgo – You have been dragging your feet this last month and you seem to be doing the same this month. Your ruler, Mercury is retrograde until August 12th. Your thoughts and ideas have been in incubation and need to be released to the world after mid month. Relationships have been shifting and changing and you aren’t sure what they need to be and you are needing more time to yourself as well. Career activity is very positive this month for expanding what you do or looking for a new position. Money issues are slowly easing up. Libra – A mix bag of energy for you this month. First, you are in a very serious mood. You are really looking at the potential impacts of your choices. Scorpio – This is an important month to get your career more organized with Mercury, retrograde in your career sector. Be ready to put your new plans into action by mid month. You are just beginning to look at some long term changes in your career that you will put into play over the next two years. You will certainly feel that kick in near the end of the month. This is also a time when you need to pay more attention to your relationship. If you are single, you will want to get out and see what available. This is a great month to start a workout routine or diet plan.
Sagittarius – You are in a very strong social and expansive time. You are feeling more optimistic about your future. You are meeting new people and if you are single, this can be a great time to sample what’s out there, especially after mid month. You continue to keep your playful attitude until the end of the month, when you are ready to get your focus back on your career. Some of you redoing your homes and others are looking for new places to live. You have had to let go of so much, you are not sure what to trust. Aquarius – You start the month with a Full Moon in Aquarius activating your relationship energies. You are wanting to be closer to your partner or you may be out looking for someone new. If you are single, this is great time to meet someone new after mid month. You are ready to put more of yourself into your work near the end of the month. You will have new ideas and are ready to spearhead the process. This can also be a great time for you to get out and look for a new position if you are unhappy. Finances still keep your attention over the next 45 days. Expect some resolution here.
Pisces – This is a very good month for you to reorganize your office or work place. You are finishing up projects that you needed some final tweaking. You are also paying more attention to your diet and health needs this month. This is great month for you to get back on your previous health regimes. Relationships are fuzzy because you are not very clear about what you want. But some of what you want is more time to yourself so you don’t have to respond to the psychic needs of those around you. This is very strong the 23rd, 24th and 25th. Make sure you have some time to retreat.
